It's holiday season here in Hradec Kralove(will be referred to HK from now onwards), and that's the date when my body's immune system fails me.

I woke up this morning feeling really bad, especially a localised pain on my left eye. I touched it and felt a bit of swelling on my palpebra(eyelid). With my body feeling as if it had been used for a thousand years, it took me an insurmountable effort to stand up and walked to the nearest mirror in my house. To no surprise, it has all the classic signs of inflammation which was, rubor(redness), tumor(swelling), dolor(pain), color(heat). It is probably a conjuctivits cause by a staphylococcal infection. So yeah, Happy Holidays!

Anyway, I would just like to share this great thing with all medical students or even doctors. I've always wanted this during my first year of study, something that can visualise the whole human body in 3D and with great enough details which makes it easier for me to understand Anatomy. It's called the Google Body Browser.

Isn't it great, it's actually webapp, let me repeat, a web app which doesnt require you download any additional softwares or even an plug-ins(though for now you still need the latest chrome internet browser). It amazes me how much technology advances nowadays.

Ok, enough teasing, you guys should try it for yourselves, hit up the link here, and start discovering the human body like you've never done before. To use it however, you would need the Chrome Browser 9.0.597.19 beta, you can find the download link at the bodybrowser website. So hope this would be able to help some people to further understand the complexity of the human bodies.

A brief introduction

Hi guys,

My name is Mohamed Hakimi and this is my first post. As of now I am a 3rd year medical student in Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove. I'm a Malaysian under scholarship to study here.

The reason i made this blog is to share with anyone who is reading about my life as a medical student, the trials and tribulation I face on my road of becoming a doctor. To tell people the stories that goes on in my life related to my life as a student of this noble field.

Also, i would like to share all the latest advancement in medical technology that i could find and read from other medical blogs or news. Because to me the medical field is dynamic and always changing. We. Should not get left behind. I find many of my colleagues not keeping themselves up to date with the lates advancements in the medical field and i'm saying that with more fingers pointing to myself than them. I am hoping that i can always improve my medical knowledge everyday. This is a vast field. There's always something new to learn. By writing about it, maybe it will make it stick in my head and hopefully, others too.

Another reason why I am writing this blog is to vent out my thoughts. I've been keeping many things inside my mind and it ends up lost in my mind. I need to keep a record of my ideas that i have in my field though tiny and insignificant it could be. Because everything starts from an idea that grows into a vision for a better future.

I am also writing this to try and improve my not so good english language and i've been told that blogging helps me improve that. So here I am, writing.

Anyway i look forward to writing more on this blog and hope not to abandon this blog like other blogs that i have made.
